After installing the bluetooth and kdebluetooth package bluetooth worked just fine for me.
$ apt-get install bluetooth kdebluetooth
$ /etc/init.d/bluetooth start
Now I could use konqueror to search for bluetooth devices.
But you also could use hcitool to search for and connect to bluetooth devices.
$ hcitool scan
$ hcitool cc <device>
